UPDATED January 2020, see below.
Permaculture Children’s House is an ongoing project started in 2015 framed into a Thai foundation with origins in Chiang Mai and created by Xavier Bruzaud-Grille and Nathalie Bruzaud-Grille, their daughter Sophia and son Eden, Chiang Mai elder, Mr. Suphakit Wanchan and Roi Et Elder, Mrs. Samlee Prapnhongbua.
The initial project came from the failure of a strategy when trying to implement a change in a hill tribe village. Following this failure we had a ‘think-tank’. After this reflection, we decided to create Permaculture Children’s House initiating an education concept combining Permaculture, Self Directed Studies, STEAM and Sociocracy…
Practically:
Permaculture Children’s House is a Thai Foundation and will be an academy and education center based on a educational and interactive playground hosting regular workshop where we can blend Permaculture, Self directed studies, STEAM, Sociocracy, PCH own 7 R principles: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle and Rot, Arts, Dance, Cooking, Montessori education, Language learning, Aquaponics and Zero Waste. We are located on a 10 acre, 4 hectares, 26 rai land, in San Kamphaeng, 20 minutes from Chiang Mai city face to Mae On moutains.
UPDATE (January 2020): Since our installation in January 2017 on our land Nathalie Bruzaud-Grille have been diagnosed in March 2017 with a Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer in Stage 3, just 3 months we moved in. What it should have been our new life started with a serious handicap.
Her fight for survive this aggressive cancer is exemplary and done with courage. She’s today partially disabled and in stage 4. During this journey we have been focusing our energy in helping her but as well in following our project as our faith in it still intact.
Obviously, we cannot face this difficult situation alone. Fortunately we regularly welcome volunteers and they give us fantastic and very precious help.
But that’s not enough, we are looking for a couple of long term volunteers with or without children who have a profile of teachers/facilitators/educators that can help us to make the educational and interactive playground hosting regular workshop becoming a reality. If you feel interested and motivated please fill this form as well.
End of the January 2020 update.

Our Permaculture learning center is located on a 10 acre or 4 hectares or 26 rai land, in San Kamphaeng, 20 minutes from Chiang Mai city face to Mae On mountains.
“Local experiment – Global example!”
We think that most of the people are living inside the city or in the suburb of Chiang Mai and an example is needed by setting a Permaculture design that will host one part to our suite of PCH academies. The PCH concept has the potential to be a model or example – possibly a global model – that can be used in other communities and other countries. After establishing a first model, it will be a blue print that can be used everywhere in the world under every latitude.
